Scarf

T-7, MC cast on 100 sts. L50-0-R50. K to RC014. Begin fairisle snowmen pattern using CC1 and CC2 as shown in picture. K in stocking stitch to RC056, begin snowflake fairisle pattern using CC1. K in stocking stitch to RC392. Knit snowflake fairisle pattern. K stocking stitch to RC445. Turn Snowman pattern upside down and knit in fairisle. K to RC 480. Cast off.

Fold scarf in half with RSF and sew open side. Turn to RSF. With 12" pieces of all 3 colors, add fringe to both ends of the scarf.

Hat

With MC cast on 140 sts in 1 x 1 rib. T3/3, rib 14 rows and transfer all sts to main bed. T-7 K to RC014 and begin snowman fairisle pattern. K stocking stitch to RC080. Cast off.

Sew seam for back of hat and across the top. Make 2 tassels using 12" pieces of MC yarn and attach to each corner of the hat.
